When I do that, it loses the connection to the 2nd monitor and only shows the laptop, which I then can get the option to extend the desktop, but just can't get the primary option to work on the external. When I plug the external monitor into the docking station, I can extend my desktop to the external monitor, but cannot get the option where you click on the external monitor to "make this my primary monitor" to work. When I plug the external monitor to the laptop DIRECTLY, it works fine. I want to give some users an external monitor to use WITH their laptops, so that they can have TWO screens at one time. I have some Dell port replicator/docking stations. Okay, I think some are misreading my post, so let me explain again my issue. ![]()
